Siemens Mobility Supplier Award 2020
Siemens Mobility announced on Monday December 7th 2020 the winners of the company's Supplier Award for 2020. The award honors suppliers who made significant contributions to Siemens Mobility's success in fiscal 2020 with their outstanding performance. The award was presented in five categories. The winner in the category 'Quality' was Germany's ml&s GmbH & Co. KG. Over 400 suppliers were invited to the virtual award ceremony. The awards were presented virtually by Karl Blaim, Chief Financial Officer and member of the Siemens Mobility Managing Board, together with Rainer Straub, the company's Chief Procurement Officer.
Udo Possin and Bernd Odoj proudly received the award for our company.
50 years of electronics production in Greifswald
50 years ago, on 4 July 1969, the production of the former VEB ship electronics Greifswald started.On January 1, 1971, the company was renamed VEB Nachrichtenelektronik Greifswald and added to the VEB Kombinat Nachrichtenelektronik.
Up to 2600 employees developed and manufactured telecommunication technology and ship electronics here at the location until 1991.
In 1991, Siemens AG took over the former GDR company and continued the telecommunications business as Siemens Transmission Systems Greifswald GmbH. In 1993, the GmbH was fully integrated into the group in the ICN area.
In 2002, Siemens manufacturing became autonomous at the site.

Special prize for improved quality; new award for innovation
Regensburg, Every year in early summer Continental's Automotive Group honors its best suppliers. Based on a systematic annual appraisal of more than 900 strategic suppliers, the Automotive Group identifies those companies that have turned in an outstanding performance in the various material segments. The winners of the Automotive "Supplier of the Year 2012" Awards were recently announced and received their awards at Continental's International Purchasing Manager Meeting in Frankfurt, where 160 Continental Automotive purchasing managers from across the globe discussed supply-sector strategies. This year's event also brought the first ever presentation of a special Innovation Award.
In order to identify the winners of the annual Supplier of the Year Awards, every year Continental Automotive assesses its strategic suppliers against a list of criteria in the areas of quality, technology, logistics, costs, and purchasing terms and conditions. These awards are presented in five sectors: electronics, electro-mechanical engineering, mechanical engineering, investment and engineering services, and Division-specific services. The Continental Automotive Group is made up of three Divisions: Chassis & Safety, Powertrain, and Interior.
In the category EMS ML&S has been awarded the "Supplier of the Year 2012".
